Halloween at Kenwood House: A Spooktacular night to remember
Oct 18 2025
This Friday 17th October, I went to Kenwood House for the opening of their Halloween at Kenwood Trail, and I have to say – it was truly spooky! Even the little ones were scared!
For me, the fright actually started before I even arrived… I decided to take the woodland path to reach the house, and suddenly it was pitch black. I honestly felt like Little Red Riding Hood wandering through the dark woods – scaaarryyyy!
Once inside the grounds, I was greeted by a magical and eerie atmosphere. The sounds, the lights, and the decorations were absolutely superb – every detail perfectly crafted to give you a little shiver. But the headless horse-riding knight in a flowing black cape stole the show – chillingly brilliant!

Parenting and Online Casino Safety
Oct 14 2025
It’s hard to overstate just how easy online gambling has become – everywhere you turn, there’s a device in someone’s pocket or bag, connected 24/7. People aren’t just dodging the old threats any more; things have shifted far beyond physical casinos. Unrestricted internet access brings a bunch of new headaches for parents, all those betting apps, sports wagers, and digital slots games. According to the UK Gambling Commission, 39% of children aged 11–16 have seen gambling adverts online. Seeing these platforms just about everywhere puts a lot more pressure on parents to be both aware and digitally savvy. For families hoping to stay ahead, it’s probably worth taking the time to map out the risks – it’s less about panic and more about knowing where the pitfalls might be if you want to protect your finances and your family’s wellbeing.

Oct 14 2025
Making sure your child feels calm and comfortable walking into the dentist’s office truly matters, especially when you want to make sure they don’t develop a phobia. One of the keys to success here is to know what to expect, and making sure that you, the parent, are well-versed in what lies behind the door can make all the difference. If your little one knows that you know what is going on and that you are in control, they will be so much more relaxed and care-free about the experience.
With this in mind, we’ve created a handy little guide for every London mum who wants to be prepared the smart way.
How to blend modern design with period features in a family home
Oct 13 2025
There’s a quiet kind of magic in homes that balance the old and the new. The high ceilings, decorative cornices, and worn wooden floors whisper stories of another time — while sleek lines, calm palettes, and modern materials remind you that life moves forward. Blending modern design with period features isn’t about erasing the past; it’s about allowing both worlds to coexist beautifully. Even small touches, such as paintable brass plates for switches & outlets, can bridge eras seamlessly, adding polish without overpowering character. In this article, we’ll look at how to achieve that balance — so your family home feels cohesive, functional, and timelessly elegant.
