Your Guide to Natural Skin Care in the UK
Sep 05 2025
Natural beauty has found its moment in the UK. More people are turning away from products packed with fillers and synthetic fragrance, and toward skincare that feels closer to the earth. It’s not just about chasing trends. It’s about wanting formulas that work, but also caring how they’re made, what’s inside them, and where they come from.
Film Review: The Conjuring – Last Rites – A Thrilling Supernatural Horror by Michael Chaves
Sep 04 2025
London Mums Magazine was invited to review the latest supernatural horror film The Conjuring directed by Michael Chaves, to be released on 5th September, 2025.
I’ll admit from the start – I’m not usually a fan of modern horror movies. Too often they rely on gore and shock factor, which isn’t really my cup of tea. That said, I grew up loving classics like Nightmare on Elm Street and Child’s Play (yes, I’m showing my age here!). When I heard this new release had a Child’s Play vibe and was inspired by a true story, my curiosity was definitely piqued.
If Your Child Is Injured in a Public Place in London: A Practical, Evidence-Based Guide
Sep 03 2025
London’s parks, pavements, shopping centres and transport hubs are busy, complex spaces. When a child gets hurt in a public place, parents have two priorities: immediate care and sensible next steps that protect the child’s wellbeing and legal position. The scale of unintentional injury underlines the need for a clear plan. UK paediatric data show that non-intentional injuries are a leading cause of death and disability for young children, with 45,661 hospital admissions in England and Wales for under-5s in 2018/19; children in the most deprived English areas experience 40% more admissions than those in the least deprived. stateofchildhealth.rcpch.ac.uk RoSPA also estimates around 40,000 UK playground injuries each year that lead to a hospital visit, and highlights the legal frameworks that apply to public play spaces.

Books we love: Suburban Secrets and Surprising Transformations – Victoria Webster’s Two-Part Series
Sep 02 2025
Behind the neat hedges and freshly painted doors of suburbia, life isn’t always as polished as it seems. That’s the world Victoria Webster opens up in her compelling two-part series, The Con Artist and Abigail’s World -two novels that blend humour, drama, and suspense in equal measure.
Webster, who writes under a pen name, didn’t set out to become a novelist early in life. But after years of rich experiences – marriage, divorce, and even dipping a toe into the unpredictable world of online dating – she found herself with stories too good not to tell. Rather than penning a straightforward memoir, she chose to weave fact and fiction into page-turning narratives that shine a sharp light on modern relationships and the secrets we all keep.
