Film review: Sonic The Hedgehog 2

On Sunday 27th March a group of young reporters and two adults, the ‘big kids’ of the group, attended a special screening of Sonic The Hedgehog 2 on behalf of London Mums Magazine. Sonic The Hedgehog 2 is in cinemas now.

The adorable blue character Sonic The Hedgehog is back, the sequel’s synopsis has Sonic and Tails stopping Robotnik from using the Master Emerald to take over Earth, with of course, loads of other action.

On Sunday 20th March 2022, London Mums and child reporters were invited to a Dreamworks Production to watch The Bad Guys. Think Ocean 11 meets Zootropolis and you get the general look and feel: Several reformed yet misunderstood criminal animals attempt to become good, with some disastrous results along the way.

Film review: Hotel Transylvania: Transformania

Last Sunday we were invited to a spooktacular morning at Ham Yard Hotel for the screening of Hotel Transylvania: Transformania which can be viewed on Amazon Prime Video.

Upon arrival we were greeted by scary hotel staff at ‘Hamsylvania’. Part of the hotel had been transformed to create a spooky feel.

The theme of Hotel Transylvania: Transformania flowed through the hotel staff right through to the catering. We got to eat green marshmallows, we drank blood juice through ‘Drac’, and were spoilt with all sorts of treats.

Film review: Cyrano starring Peter Dinklage

Cyrano is written by Erica Schmidt and directed by award-winning director Joe Wright. A fresh, modern take on a classic form, Cyrano OST will be cherished by anyone whose playlists include songs such as; I Need My Girl, Light Years, England, Fake Empire, The System Only Dreams in Total Darkness……

Cyrano is the 4th production of the great romantic French play that I’ve seen. There have been other versions but under different names.

In all the other Cyranos they only had to overcome their tremendously unusual noses, but in this movies Peter Dinklage has to overcome lack of height plus prejudice about his body type.
