Last year’s news of Angelina Jolie receiving an elective preventative mastectomy was quite shocking but is not the only way to prevent women’s genetic cancers. Let’s not overlook the power of prevention. A lot of lives could be saved by simply getting properly tested. Here we are shedding some light on Ovarian Cancer, for which there’s currently no screening tool and symptoms are often confused by both women and doctors.

The year is well under way but the New Year resolution to shape up and dust off the work-out kit has not really kicked off.
Who has the time? Mums certainly don’t have much Me-Time and fitness at the gym is quite boring. My passion is in fencing but I still need to keep fit in between training sessions and apart from walking to school and a bit of cycling I have found a great way to do some exercises while I watch the TV in the evening. UCL published a fascinating study which concluded that Young men in England who drive, face an almost five times greater risk of being hurt per hour than those who ride a bike.
