As we enter 2021 full of hopes for a Covid-free era, I am looking for new ways to revive my workout routines as social sport might be still off for a while. The start of a new year provides the perfect chance to feeling more motivated, setting achievable goals and identifying what we want to get out of our fitness journey. To lend a helping hand in my research to identify predictions for 2021 fitness trends are Britain’s best coaches including The Body Coach Joe Wicks, Sharon Porter of Active Mums, Strictly Star Oti Mabuse and Rupert Hambly.

January is a time of year for fitness, with research revealing that in 2021, there will be a 50% increase in people setting exercise as their new year’s resolutions. But, as we enter into the UK’s third lockdown, gyms are forced to shut their doors and millions of school children are unable to return to school.
During the first lockdown, two-thirds of parents said that the time spent with their children brought them closer together, having a positive impact on their family. This included outdoor activities such as walks and bike rides during the summer months, but now with colder weather, motivating the family to go outside isn’t as easy.

Sharing hobbies can be a great way to communicate, create a stronger, intimate connection, and sustain a fun and interesting relationship. While we don’t need to share every one of our interests with our partners, it’s nice to have some things we enjoy doing together. Finding hobbies as a couple can be an exciting way of widening our horizons to take advantage of sharing our interest. It enriches the fun in the relationship and makes it stronger.
