Buddy movies are back – but they’re strictly for adults. A few weeks ago, it was Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe in The Nice Guys, now it’s the turn of little ‘n’ large combo of Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart in Central Intelligence, released in cinemas on Friday, 1st July.

More than a third of people in the UK are single. In the USA, that figure is over 50%, which means they outnumber married couples. Step forward the comedy How To Be Single, released on DVD this week, which seems to give some much needed advice. But does it?

A real life Dame graces the hot seat for The Big Interview in the latest edition of Talking Pictures. With the Oscar-nominated Trumbo out on DVD, Helen Mirren talks about her role in the movie, as well as Hollywood in the ’50s.
New releases in the spotlight are animation The Secret Life Of Pets and the bittersweet British tragi-comedy, Adult Life Skills. And London Mums’ resident film critic, Freda Cooper, casts her eye over the other new DVDs, steamy drama A Bigger Splash and documentary, I Am Belfast.
