You wait years for a film about a woman who couldn’t sing in tune and then, just like London buses, two come along almost simultaneously. French offering, Marguerite, opened around six weeks ago and was based on the story of Florence Foster Jenkins. Now the movie bearing her name arrives in cinemas this Friday, 8 May, certificate 12A.
London Mums’ resident film critic, Freda Cooper, took earplugs with her. Just in case.

Talking Pictures had a front row seat at this week’s Captain America:Civil War press conference – and so have you! The stars of the film, Chris Evans and Robert Downey Junior, both have their say on this week’s show, along with Anthony Mackie and Paul Bettany.
London Mums’ resident film critic, Freda Cooper, puts the film under the spotlight, as well as looking at multi award-winning drama Son Of Saul. Its director, Laszlo Nemes, talks about his approach to making the movie. And the new releases also include British comedy, Golden Years.
