The wait is over! Since last year’s The Hunger Games:Catching Fire, we’ve all been waiting for the next instalment of this globally successful franchise. And now it’s here – The Hunger Games:Mockingjay Part 1 opens this Thursday. Has it been worth the wait – or is it just setting us up for Mockingjay Part 2?
The answer is a resounding “yes” – to both questions!

As an Italian, I have grown up reading Marco Polo’s Il Milione (Book of the Marvels of the World or simply The Travels of Marco Polo), a 13th-century travelogue written down by Rustichello da Pisa from stories told by legendary Venetian Marco Polo, describing his travels through Asia, Persia, China, and Indonesia between 1276 and 1291, and his 20 years experiences at the court of Kublai Khan.
