Quick alert to all London Mums and children: There’s a new dog movie called Patrick with the sweetest Pug as the main character out this Summer. I expect great things from Disney which has made some of the best animal films over the past 50 years. It is also a British movie so I love it even more. Don’t be fooled by the power of marketing behind certain films. Sometimes the best movies are not even publicised. It is the case of romantic drama Every Day which is released in cinemas on 20th April without much fuss. I loved it and so did most people at the exclusive screening at the Ham Yard Hotel in London judging from the laughs and silences (those were even more powerful than the giggles) in the room. A few years ago at a roundtable for movie Tomorrowland I sat next to Brad Bird and he told me very quietly that he was working on the Incredibles 2 movie. Well, it is nearly here. The Incredibles 2 bursts into UK cinemas on 13 July 2018. I expect great things from this movie not just because the first was brilliant but also because it is a Pixar film and Pixar has never disappointed me.
