The Very Hungry Caterpillar is the most read children’s book in Britain, a study revealed yesterday. Researchers estimate that Eric Carle’s 1969 classic about a caterpillar that becomes a butterfly is read an average of nine times a year by the nation’s 5.5 million primary school children.

London Mums love it because it is easy to read and also easy to understand a scientific topic that we as parents don’t always remember well 🙂 The pictures and illustrations are very good and brought back lovely memories of my time at school. Highly recommended book!
