Sep 23 2025
Lake Maggiore

London-based, international online school, School Beyond Limitations (SBL), has announced the opening of its new international boarding house in Lake Maggiore, Italy. Affectionately known by the school and its teachers as SBL Home, the new facility provides UK-based and international students with the opportunity to learn offline in a welcoming space nestled in a small village setting, in small groups of up to eight children. As well as continuing with their usual timetable of live lessons, resident students will also benefit from learning off-screen in an in-person environment, while exploring the local culture, supported by the school’s Boarding Parents, who are responsible for the students during their stay.

Why Choose a Garden Office?

If you’re fed up with working at the kitchen table or taking video calls from a noisy living room, a garden office might be exactly what you need. It gives you a peaceful, dedicated space to focus, just a few steps from your back door.

For remote and hybrid workers, the benefits are huge. No commute, fewer distractions, and a clear boundary between home life and work. Homeowners across the UK are investing in garden offices not just for convenience, convenience, but for wellbeing too — and they’ve become a growing trend amongst people seeking a healthier work-life balance.

Peace of mind or extra cost? The truth about Home Alarm Systems

How to get the house tidy for summer #home #diy #tips #summer #parenting

Are Home Alarm Systems Worth the Investment?

Every homeowner wants to feel safe. That’s why alarm systems are becoming more common in UK households. But are they really worth the money, or are they just another expense? Let’s look at what they actually offer.

Burglar alarms do more than just make noise. They act as a visible deterrent, stopping many intruders before they even try the door. And if someone does try their luck, these systems alert you, and often the authorities, within seconds. Add to that the knock-on benefits, like lower home insurance premiums and a stronger resale appeal, and you’re already ahead.

The UK’s Top Direct Cremation Plans

Sep 19 2025

What Is a Direct Cremation Plan?

Direct cremation is a simple, no-fuss alternative to a traditional funeral. It takes place without a service, procession, or attendees. That doesn’t mean it’s impersonal. In fact, many families find comfort in its quiet dignity.

Instead of a ceremony at the crematorium, the cremation happens privately, and the ashes are returned to the family. Loved ones can then choose to hold a separate memorial in their own time, in their own way.

It’s a choice that suits those who value simplicity, privacy, and affordability without compromising on respect.
