The story
Starring legendary actresses Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen and Mary Steenburgen, BOOK CLUB follows four lifelong friends whose lives are turned upside down to hilarious ends when their book club attempts to shake things up by tackling the infamous Fifty Shades of Grey. From discovering new romance to rekindling old flames, they inspire each other to make their next chapter the best chapter. The film also stars Andy Garcia, Don Johnson, Craig T. Nelson, Richard Dreyfuss and Ed Begley Jr.

The verdict
The quality of the performances is extraordinary. The actresses are absolutely brilliant and I laughed from beginning to end at their attempts to re-awaken their sensuality after reading EL James’s Fifty Shades of Grey.
I can totally see myself organising a book club in the style of these funny ladies when we will be older. In fact, I already have a group of friends with whom I shared lots of fun discussing the Fifty Shades of Grey series on the beach a few years ago. The conversations we had around Christian Grey and his love life were exactly the same we had. So funny to think that women all over the world discussed this book series in the same way we did.
Andy Garcia is great too. I interviewed him this Summer at the Mamma Mia Here we go again press conference and my interview will be soon be published in the Winter issue of the London Mums magazine. Even in his latest roles as a mature man in his sixties he is as charming and as handsome as ever. He is the type of man whom you would wish to meet at a certain age.
Don Johnson has also a part in this movie as the love interest of the gorgeous Jane Fonda who plays the part of a lady in her seventies while she is already over 80 years old.
This movie gives hope to middle aged women who are single and hope for a lively and joyous life in their senior years. It made me laugh and hopeful. It’s a film that I like to own as a Blu-Ray because I will watch it again with my girlfriends.
