Finding new authors is always exciting and fascinating. I feel very honoured to have personally met and interviewed talented Nillu Nasser who has just released new literary fiction All the Tomorrows which tells the story of newlyweds Jaya and Akash in Mumbai, India. The novel is about second chances, the weight of tradition and gender, and the line between happiness and selfishness. It…
If you missed Christopher Nolan’s latest film Dunkirk, released during the Summer, you can now watch it on Blu-Ray. Even in the small screen it won’t disappoint those people who love war drama movies. It’s a very powerful visualisation of how a day as a private during WW2 could have looked like. It features a British ensemble cast including Tom Hardy, Kenneth Branagh, Mark…
The Natural History Museum Ice Rink must be the most enchanting skating location in London. My 11 year old son Diego was lucky to be invited to try one of the Kids Fast Track Skating Courses, a fun-filled four-day course running though the Christmas holidays for children aged 6 upwards to be taught key skating skills and learn how to skate relatively well within a matter of days. He had…
Do you need Stocking fillers’ inspiration? Check London Mums’ best children’s books for 2017 and pick the perfect book to unwrap children’s imaginations this Christmas. I am a bookworm and I know that not everybody would appreciate books as much as I do but all kids love story telling especially if you read to them. Being read a story is a treat that was a theme of my Lauren…
School holidays are officially starting today for UK children and parents are faced with the task of entertaining children to prevent them to be online and in front of video games during the festivities. Star Wars: The Last Jedi is undoubtably the most anticipated film of the year. And for good reasons. You won’t get any spoilers from me here but rest assured that the latest instalment won’t disappoint. Fans of the franchise will find the good old look and feel, familiar faces and spaceships, lots of new characters and fantastic creatures, and well created battles in space like in the…
Jumanji – Welcome to the Jungle is the film your pre-teens and teenage children will laugh at the most this Christmas. Four high school kids discover an old video game console and are drawn into the game’s jungle setting, literally becoming the adult avatars they chose. What they discover is that you don’t just play Jumanji – you must survive it. The movie is released…
I recently had an early Christmas lunch with special mums and bloggers at M Bar and Grill restaurant in Twickenham led by celebrity chef Michael Reid. I was lucky to try his Christmas menu over lovely chats and drinks. I am not a big meat eater, but I have too admit that I had the most delicious meat-based lunch at a London restaurant.
Michael Reid came out from the kitchen to say hallo!
Only one word springs to mind to describe my week at Villa Radicata in Tuscany. Heaven!
On my way back to London, I reflected on how to keep the good mantra and the calmness acquired during my heavenly break.
The stressful London lifestyle can sometime take you away from the simplest things in life and make you unhappy.
But a holiday like that helps rebalance your mind and body.
