Arundel Castle in West Sussex is set to play host to the world’s longest international jousting competition, with top challengers from across the globe taking part in its spectacular Jousting and Medieval Tournament Week. Destrier Pro HE Ltd will be returning for an exciting and thrilling six-day jousting tournament at Arundel Castle – the longest competition of its kind in the world. With highly skilled participants from all corners of the globe, this event promises to thrill all the family. Supported by the knights and men-at-arms of Raven Tor, Distant Trumpets story teller, the musicians of Roughe Musicke, have-a-go-archery and a host of crafts, displays and entertainment within the authentic style encampment, this promises to be one of the largest Medieval Events the Castle has undertaken!

Knights and Crusaders will meet in preparation for the long journey to the Holy Land. A tournament of foot combat will be held on the upper grounds of Arundel Castle, set beneath the 12th century Keep and oldest part of the Castle, where the Knights and Crusaders will hone their skills.
A tented encampment, set on the American Lawn, will showcase a variety of crafts and demonstrations of the period, as well as impressive falconry displays and storytelling.

The Knights, Squires, and Men-at-Arms of Raven Tor Living History Group will face off in a Medieval Tournament, representing the nations of England, France, Poland and Denmark.

Set within the upper grounds of Arundel Castle these family friendly Living History Days will be an opportunity to meet a variety of historical characters, including a Knight, Pirate and Medieval Surgeon.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy a variety of have a-go activities, such as archery and fencing. Certain days will also include falconry, face painter and an ancient story teller.

Arundel Castle in West Sussex is to play host to a thrilling three-day castle siege event – which will have visitors on tenterhooks throughout the May Bank Holiday weekend.
It is 1485 and Richard III is King of England. Henry Tudor, Earl of Richmond has laid claim to the throne and landed in Wales, supported by French forces. Seeing the opportunity, another a French force has also crossed the Channel, seized the Kings Ordinance (artillery) and surrounded the Castle at Arundel. The French intend to hold the Earl of Arundel’s fortress, allowing a stronger invasion force to cross from France, sail up the River Arun and into the heart of Sussex.
