Tuscany is the perfect holiday destination for families as there is so much to do in this one fabulous region and kids are welcomed everywhere. Lots of pasta and pizza mean you don’t have to worry about what the kids will eat while you enjoy your “aperitivo”. Here are just a few ideas to get you started.

Villa Radicata has been restored with love and attention to detail to make it a comfortable family holiday home. It is in a stunning undiscovered part of Tuscany close to Anghiari in the Tiber valley. The Villa has its own private fenced swimming pool giving fabulous, open views over the Tuscan countryside and Montedoglio Lake. It was renovated retaining original features including chestnut beams and terracotta floors throughout. There are several patios and a lovely pergola around the house making it a perfect house for a large group. There is an outside pizza oven, mountain bikes, plenty of toys and baby equipment.

Tuscany is the perfect destination for all the family. I decided to move our London born family, my husband and myself, Alessia then aged 9 and Sebastian then aged 3 from Parsons Green to Lucca, Tuscany, for “a year out” so that they could experience their Italian origins and perfect their Italian. Here we are a year later and have decided to stay on another year!! I had worked as a tour guide all over Italy and my favourite region is Tuscany so below are a few tips for places to go which all got the thumbs up from my kids.
