Dining at Colonel Saab in Holborn is like stepping into a luxurious Indian haven where elegance meets culinary artistry. A place with an opulent atmosphere that feels both intimate and celebratory, Colonel Saab offers a vibrant immersion into Indian flavours and heritage. From chandeliers that cast a warm glow to vintage Indian decor and soft jazz that fills the air, every detail in the setting evokes sophistication. This charming venue, centrally located just a five-minute stroll from Shaftesbury Theatre, is ideal for a pre-theatre meal or a leisurely evening of indulgence. This is my fourth visit to Colonel Saab which I consider the best Indian restaurant in London. I recently experienced Colonel Saab’s Mrs. Doubtfire Experience Menu five-course meal (£60 per person), a special collaboration with Shaftesbury Theatre.

On Sunday, 20th October 2024, London Mums Magazine and our Kids Club reporters had the pleasure of attending an Autumnal Afternoon Tea at the elegant Straits Kitchen, located on the first floor of the Pan Pacific London in the heart of the City of London.
Afternoon tea is my favourite mealtime – it’s the perfect break from the standard lunch or dinner, and it’s usually substantial enough to become the main event of the day without the heaviness of a full meal. Straits Kitchen’s reputation intrigued me, as did their child-friendly menu that includes a playful biscuit-decorating activity after the classic sandwiches. For an afternoon out with my daughter, it seemed an ideal blend of sophistication and fun.

Smith & Wollensky, an American steakhouse located in Central London, hosted a 4th of July party that showcased its renowned American cuisine and flair. Known for its high-end steaks and impressive wine list, the restaurant has built a reputation for luxurious dining in its mahogany-decked, white-tablecloth setting.
