A fellow mother once told me that when she goes out with her four kids, she dresses them all in bright colours. “Just so I can see where they are at a glance.” Ah – I thought to myself. Good idea. I must do that. But as soon as the thought entered my brain, it had filtered out again. Probably to be replaced by important information such as when the next series of Killing Eve was out.

I once read an interview with a high-flying female. I can’t quite remember who it was. But I can remember that she had about ten kids running around her at all times and still managed to look beautiful and well put-together and well, shiny. You know – one of those.

There are so many picture books out there, like never before actually. One in particular caught my eye this week and is by first time author and London Dad Richard Peters. It’s called Mr Rainbow.
