If you think you’ve seen it all on the London live music scene, think again – because The DeciBells don’t just perform… they take over the room.
Last night at the The Pheasantry, I witnessed them with my five senses. From the moment they step on stage (armed with ukuleles, a keytar and – yes, a banjululele), you know you’re in for something completely different. Not polished to perfection, not overly serious, just brilliantly chaotic, wildly talented and ridiculously fun.

High energy, high humour, high everything
Their gig felt like a party you didn’t know you needed. The atmosphere was intimate but buzzing – the kind where you start by politely watching and end up singing along, laughing and wondering why all gigs aren’t this entertaining.
The DeciBells have that rare “can do” spirit: a mix of strong vocals, sharp wit and a slightly rebellious streak that keeps the audience on their toes. One minute you’re admiring their harmonies, the next you’re laughing at a perfectly timed ironic twist.
A setlist full of surprises
Where else would you hear a mash-up like Pink Fever (yes – Pink Panther meets Fever), or a delightfully cheeky Sweet Talking Sugar Coated Candy Man moment?

Their take on Kate Bush’s Heathcliff was both playful and impressive, proving they can balance humour with genuine musical skill.
And then there are the unexpected gems – like a beautifully slowed-down acoustic nod to Bruce Springsteen’s Dancing in the Dark, which added a surprisingly tender moment to an otherwise high-energy show.
Not just a gig – a whole personality
What makes The DeciBells stand out is their personality. They don’t just perform songs. They create a whole world on stage. There’s mischief, there’s chemistry, there’s that sense that anything could happen (and probably will).
If they were a cocktail? Think prosecco, a splash of espresso, a twist of lime and something slightly dangerous thrown in for good measure.
Go watch the madness (you’ll thank us later)
And if you want a taste of their humour off-stage too, don’t miss our fun interview with them over on @londonmums Instagram – expect laughs, personality and a few surprises.
Hilarious, talented and completely unapologetic, The DeciBells are one of those acts you don’t just watch – you experience.
Catch them live if you can… and be ready to sing, laugh and possibly question your life choices (in the best possible way).
