What do you see? A story of motivation and joy

Motivational swimming

When I look at this photo, my mind immediately goes to my trusty swimsuit. It’s more than just fabric; it’s a symbol of a year of consistent daily swims and the motivation that kept me going.

But it represents so much more:

  • The feeling of the water: That exhilarating sensation when I dive in.
  • Shared joy: The fun I have going to the pool with my neighbour, Natalie.
  • Community: The unspoken camaraderie amongst fellow swimmers.
  • Post-swim energy: The incredible burst of vitality that lasts for hours after I get out.
  • Inspiration: This image genuinely inspires me, like seeing an old friend reunited with a new one.

Sometimes, people jokingly mention “what chlorine does to your skin,” and it makes me a little sad. For me, the immense benefits of swimming far outweigh any minor dryness. Plus, a little moisturiser takes care of that, and our pool’s chlorine levels are meticulously maintained!

Ultimately, it comes down to perspective: choosing to see the positive or the negative. For me, this photo is 100%, exceptionally positive.

Train your brain to always see the beauty and well-being in an image. It truly can change your entire outlook on your day and your life. Have fun!
