Rules of Motivation – in a nutshell.

April 1 – tomorrow – a great time to start a new goal.  Spring is coming, clocks have changed, and weather is on our side.

1 – Set a major end goal, but more importantly, set the steps to achieve it.  Without a clear plan, you will literally go one step forward, two steps back.  You need to be aware of the possible setback and blocks to your path and think creatively on how you will overcome those hurtles.

Valentine’s Day doesn’t need to be just for couples in love.  I think of it as an opportunity to tell people I love that I DO love them and appreciate them for being in my life and loving me.  This includes neighbours, people in my community, people I work with, my friends and family.  It’s such a small world and we need to take care of each other.  One of my favourite things I learnt from a YouTube video was how small things can make someone day.  In this particular video, a girl bought 12 roses and handed them out to strangers on her way home to people of all ages and backgrounds.  I did it and my favourite comment was “I feel like I’ve just been knighted”.  Everyone loved it and felt special – so did I.

Simple, thoughtful, with love.  Happy Valentines Day.
