What’s Happening?

Every day from 12:30-1:30pm, catch mind-blowing demos by Shahii, Chris, and Chuckz from the award-winning breakdancing crew, Gully LDN Squad. These guys have danced for Nike, Spotify, and Adidas, and now they’re bringing their Olympic-worthy moves to our doorstep.

Who Are the Gully LDN Squad?

Formed in 2013, Gully LDN Squad is a powerhouse in the breakdancing world. They recently bagged the top spot at Breakmission 3x3s, proving they’re the real deal. Shahii, Chris, and Chuckz will be showing off the same moves you’ll see at the Paris Olympics!

What’s Breaking?

Breaking, also known as breakdancing, started in the vibrant block parties of the Bronx, New York, in the 1970s. It’s a mix of acrobatic moves, slick footwork, and the infectious beats of a DJ. After rocking the Buenos Aires Youth Olympic Games in 2018, breaking is set to dazzle at Paris 2024 with men’s and women’s events featuring solo battles.

Why Marble Arch?

Marble Arch London BID is bringing this fantastic sport to the community to spread the love for breaking and get everyone involved. Whether you’re living, working, or just visiting the area, come down and catch the action. Who knows? You might even pick up a few moves yourself!

Hear from the Experts!

Kay Buxton, Chief Executive of Marble Arch London BID, says: “We’re thrilled to host Breaking Marble Arch as we gear up for the Paris Olympics. Breaking is an amazing sport that anyone can try. We can’t wait to see Shahii, Chris, and Chuckz in action and hope the whole community joins us!”

Chris Arias from Gully LDN Squad adds: “We’re excited to introduce new fans to breaking, especially with it now being part of the Olympics. Breaking has been transformative for us, and we’re eager to share its physical and mental benefits. Come celebrate with us and experience this dynamic sport!”

Born Barikor, Chair of Breaking GB, says: “Our mission post-Olympics is to continue growing Breaking in the UK. We want to inspire and support breakers at all levels, promoting diversity and inclusion. Events like Breaking Marble Arch are key to getting more people involved and fostering community spirit.”

Mark your calendars and join the fun at Marble Arch from 15-19 July. Bring your family, friends, and anyone who loves a good show. Let’s celebrate breaking and get ready for the Olympics together!
