If you’re hunting for a magical way to kick off the festive season, the LEGO Chalet of Play in Covent Garden is an absolute must-visit. I popped in with fellow London Mum Rosalba and teen Maya, and we couldn’t resist getting hands-on straight away. We even built a few adorable LEGO figures – including a black cat and a tiny present – now proudly hanging on our Christmas tree. A little touch of brick-built cheer to start the season!

Once inside the chalet, you’re welcomed into a world bursting with colour, imagination, and festive sparkle. There’s something joyful at every turn: test your aim in the Tinsel Toss, sniff out hidden gifts in the LEGO Minecraft Zone, or create a LEGO Heart in the Build to Give area to help bring a smile to a child in need this Christmas. Of course, we couldn’t leave without adding our own creations to the Creativi-Tree!
The whole experience feels like stepping inside a playful Christmas market with a LEGO twist. You’ll spot iconic characters, snap festive photos, and wander through creative zones where every activity invites you to build, discover, and dream. Don’t forget to stay for the Covent Garden Christmas lights switch-on — the perfect finishing touch to a magical visit.
