The vibrant and much-anticipated Notting Hill Carnival 2023 is in full swing, and the press evening at The Tabernacle gave us a tantalising glimpse of the festivities to come. The carnival promises to be a riot of live music, delicious Caribbean food and drinks, and dancing performers in mesmerising carnivalesque costumes. The theme this year is ‘Dance of the Phoenix,’ and the energy in the air is electric.

Buckingham Palace is not somewhere I would have dared take my very young children, all those ropes to hurdle over or conga under, those priceless breakables to upend and the miles of corridors, just an open invitation for a cheeky sprint. But my recent visit to admire the Coronation display including the Coach and Coronation Robes in the State Rooms has turned my view of Buckingham Palace upside down.
Tarantino Live Show in London: A spectacular homage to Tarantino’s films

I had the privilege of watching the Tarantino Live show from a table right at the stage, and from the very beginning, it was evident that the West End had moved to Hammersmith. Held at the Riverside Studios, this show proved to be one of the best immersive performances I have witnessed in recent years. From the professional actors who doubled as singers and dancers to the original and complex lighting design, every aspect of the show was meticulously crafted to enhance the performances. The live musicians, despite being placed in two opposite areas of the room, played in perfect unison, creating a truly immersive experience.
