Our Bedtime book this week: Jenny Colgan’s Polly and the Puffin: The Stormy Day

If you are looking for new books with the old fashioned look and feel, I would recommend bestselling adult novelist Jenny Colgan‘s stories Polly and the puffin and the latest Polly and the Puffin: The Stormy Day published by Hachette UK, the second children’s book featuring Polly and her puffin Neil. With gorgeous two-colour illustrations throughout, Polly is perfect for reading aloud.

Jenny Colgan new series are great to teach kids how to love animals unconditionally by letting them free and respecting their animal nature.

Puffin book

Polly befriends an injured puffin whom she names Neil and struggles to cope with his departure when it’s time for him to go back to his family. Every Neil comes back to Polly from time to time they play together, share food and play.

Polly and the Puffin: The Stormy Day also contains easy recipes, activities and rhymes in addition to the story.
