What's On

Free comedy, LEGO DUPLO and a rare chance to laugh while your toddler plays elsewhere

You are sitting in a beautiful theatre. A comedian is making you laugh so hard you forget you have a child. And that child is not sitting next to you asking for a snack every thirty seconds. They are in a separate room, supervised by professionals, building things out of LEGO DUPLO. Sounds like a dream? It is happening. And it is free.

On Sunday 14th June, the LEGO Group and Peanut (the app that helps mums find friends) are bringing Little Wins, Big Laughs to Manchester. A one-off comedy event for parents of children aged 1 to 5. And honestly, the concept is genius.

What is actually happening?

The event takes place at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester. Doors open at 2.30pm, and the fun runs from 3pm to 5pm.

Here is the deal. The grown ups get an adult only comedy show. Headlining is the brilliant Sara Pascoe, comedian, author, broadcaster and mum of two. She will be joined by Hannah East and Matt Coyne (you may know him as Man vs Baby). The host is comedy doctor Michael Akadiri. So yes, proper comedians. Proper laughs.

Meanwhile, your little ones aged 1 to 5 are taken to bespoke LEGO DUPLO and LEGO Preschool playrooms. These are not just any playrooms. They are designed around developmental milestones. There are bricks, guided play, and activities that help with fine motor skills, hand eye coordination, and confidence. And here is the best part: the playrooms are staffed by accredited childcare professionals. So you can actually relax.

There are two rooms. One for children aged 1 to 3, and another for ages 4 to 5. The little ones will build racing adventures, create wildlife worlds, and experience their own playful firsts. All while you are watching a comedy show without someone tugging your sleeve

Why this matters to every tired parent

Parenting a toddler is relentless. You love them. You would die for them. But sometimes you just need forty five minutes of laughing at something that is not a cartoon giraffe.

This event understands that. It gives you a proper break. A real laugh. And your child gets a brilliant play session with brand new LEGO sets. It is a win win.

And did I mention it is free? Yes, completely free. Tickets are limited though, so you need to act fast.

How to get tickets

Tickets become available on 1st June. To register your interest, you need to sign up to Peanut, the community app for mums. It is free to download on Apple and Google Play stores. Once you are on the app, you can register for the event through the link provided.

Do not delay. These tickets will disappear quicker than a biscuit at a toddler group.
